Queer Diary Zine-Making Workshop
Queer Diary Zine-Making Workshop
Join us as we team up with Queer Diary to host a zine-making workshop where you'll have the chance to create your own personal queer teenage history zine, or create whatever you'd like with a friendly group of queers and allies!
Grab a pritt-stick and join the Queer Diary team and The Queerish Bookshop for an evening of nostalgia and crafting. Cut up a stack of old teen magazines to:
- Create your own Queer Teenage History Zine
- Create a fanzine for your first crush
- Write a letter to your younger self
- Draw a coming-of-age cartoon
OR simply sit and doodle with a friendly queer crowd to a throwback soundtrack.
Bring pals, a date, or come alone to meet some new friendly faces.
Date, Time, Location, & Ticket Prices
The event takes place on Monday 7th October at Number Forty, 40 Skinnergate, Darlington, DL3 7NR. Doors open 6:30pm, with the event starting at 7:00pm and ending at 9:00pm.
We're implementing a tiered pay what you can method for purchasing tickets. Not sure what ticket price to choose? Please read our guide below.
Pay What You Can - Guidelines
Please choose whichever price that you can afford. Paying more, if you can, helps to pay the team for their time and contributes to helping keep the bookshop open. All tickets give bookers the same access to the event (unreserved seating) and no ID or proof of need is required to book a ticket.
Suggested Supportive Price £10: Aimed at people with disposable income.
Suggested Standard Price £7: Aimed at average-income folks, who want to pay the standard price for this event.
Suggested Concession Price £5: Aimed at anyone who needs to pay less. You may be someone who would normally buy a student/pensioner/low-income ticket (there’s no need to show any form of ID or ‘proof’ to access this price).
If the cost is a barrier, please email Megan at thequeerishbookshop@gmail.com and we can work something out 💕
